Who We Are

Since 1972, IU7 Federal Credit Union has been offering the best financial services to our members. We are a not-for-profit, member owned financial organization. Our highly experienced and trained experts promise to offer our members service with integrity, efficiency and innovation. Our asset size is around $25 million and we serve over 2000 members from a variety of represented groups, especially teachers in western Pennsylvania.

John Thomas

President

Mr. Thomas attended Duquesne University from 1958-1963, graduating with a degree in English Literature, Philosophy, West Virginia University, JD. Mr. Thomas is a person who likes new things, challenges, art and targets for a goal. with the results of learning and practice that have been traversed in earnest, the results will be maximized maybe a lot of people are more. He is the Chairperson of IU7 Federal Credit Union, Chairperson Department of Criminology, Indiana University of Pennsylvania Westmoreland County Solicitors Office CEO RJA AND ASSOCIATES

Anthony Marsilli

Vice President

Mr. Marsilli received a political science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and then attended Duquesne University School of Law. He is a lawyer that worked in Washington D.C. for members of Congress before working returning to PA to work in Greensburg for numerous judges and then became a county prosecutor prior to being a County Judge for nearly 20 years.

Ben Holtzman

Secretary

Mr. Holtzman is a resident of the City of New Kensington. He is a retired educator after 35 years with the New Kensington-Arnold School District, 25 years as an elementary teacher and 10 years as a middle school guidance counselor. Mr. Holtzman received his bachelor’s degree from Edinboro State College and an advanced degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has been a member of the Intermediate Unit 7 Credit Union for nearly 50 years and has been on the Board of Directors for 6 years.

Enjoying retirement with my wife of 49 years, Barbara Kanaan. We enjoy gardening and many outdoor activities.

Our Staff

Jordan J. Elias,
MBA, CAMS

Chief Executive Officer

Jordan began as CEO in January of 2022, and has over 9 years of experience with PNC Bank in roles of hedge fund accounting, internal audit and BSA/AML Compliance. He was a Finance Lead with Highmark Health in a product Finance group supporting the Delaware Medicaid contract. He has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Penn State University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Duquesne as of May of 2022. Jordan is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. (CAMS)

Pete Brasko

Loan Officer

Pete began as the Loan Officer in January of 2022 after managing operations for over 25 years at the Quality Inn in New Kensington prior to joining the IU7 family. Pete handled the accounts’ receivable function, coordinated events and support, promoted the business, and overall staff hiring. Pete is an avid sports fan of all Pittsburgh teams! Pete has two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.

Teri Schreckengost

Member Services Representative

Teri came to the credit union after working at the City of New Kensington Treasurer's office as a Tax Clerk. Prior to that she was the office manager of the Evangel Heights Church in Sarver, PA for over 20 years. She has an Associates degree in Accounting from San Antonio College. Teri enjoys Pittsburgh sports, NASCAR racing and spending time with her family.
