Member Services Representative - Part Time

Job description
We are a well-financed federal credit union serving approximately 1,500 members by providing loans, savings, certificates of deposit, IRA’s, VISA cards, and Christmas Clubs with a desire to grow the business. We are looking for a highly motivated multifaceted person with a desire to learn and grow in their career to help serve our members in a professional, friendly environment. With the skills requested, help with the many different daily responsibilities serving as a Member Services Representative while being willing to contribute where-ever needed.

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Member Services Representative/Part Time
FUNCTION: Provide service to members by conducting credit union transactions and meeting the needs of the members. Conduct the daily activities of the credit union according to established policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Is responsible for efficient office operation and ensures that members are serviced in a prompt and efficient manner, including answering phones, inquiries and handling daily receipt of loan payments and deposits. Also deal with Certificate of deposits, IRA’s and loans.

  • First point of contact with members by phone or walk-in.
  • Practice KYC (Know your customer) procedures while adhering to credit union policies and practices.
    • Open and close member accounts. Handling dormant account inquiries.
    • Provide account balance information to clients and resolve any differences.
    • Assist members with Certificates of deposit and IRA accounts.
    • Assist with loan collection calls to customers.
  • Support with necessary loan documents and processing.
    • Transfer funds at the request of clients.
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.
  • Perform various other clerical assignments or work on special projects when requested. Organize and restock workstations with supplies.
  • Contributes to team effort in achieving the goals and objectives of the credit union.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; other technology for data mining and reporting; and ability to learn new applications quickly. Computer aptitude and ability in a business environment, using on-line site applications and in-house software.

Must be good with detail and data entry.

Familiarity with consumer lending laws and regulation a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures.
